‘Ekosimba’: First Contemporary Congolese Anthology Releasing in October 2026

“EKOSIMBA” (Mlimani Editions) is a multilingual anthology of 63 poems by contemporary Congolese writers from the African continent and global Diaspora. Primarily translated into English, it will be released during Congo Week as a non-profit project.

63 POEMS, ONE MESSAGE: to increase visibility for the Congolese literary community, including both emerging and established writers, and to support the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Eastern Congo.

All proceeds will support Congolese females affected by war-related sexual violence. In partnership with Friends of the Congo (FOTC) and Mlimani Editions, the project is published by Mlimani Editions and distributed globally through Ingram via FOTC.
